📖 Who Is Baldr in Norse Mythology?
Baldr is the son of Odin and Frigg, and the brother of Thor and Höðr. Known as the fairest and most beloved of the gods, he radiates light and joy. His hall, Breidablik, is described as the most beautiful place in Asgard, where nothing impure can exist.
His tragic death — caused by a mistletoe dart crafted by Loki and thrown by the blind god Höðr — marks the beginning of Ragnarök, the Norse apocalypse. Yet Baldr is prophesied to return after Ragnarök, symbolizing the rebirth of peace and purity in the new world.
